Welcome and thanks for buying from Sierra Madre Traders / Arizona Lapidary!

Payment
Payment will only be accepted in US dollars (US$). We strongly recommend that you use Paypal for all payments - it is fast, easy, secure, and well documented. Only Paypal retains your credit info, we do not recieve or retain any of your credit card data. Paypal handles all of our credit card and foreign currency transactions. Personal checks or money orders from established firms are acceptable (we particularly recommend postal money orders); however, your order will not ship for seven business days after receipt of your check to insure bank payment. In the event that a check is returned for insufficient funds or similar reasons, we will bill you for the amount of the check, any bank fees imposed on us, and any other charges permitted by law. We will not conduct further business with a person in this situation until the bill has been paid in full.

Shipping
When you order an item, it is placed in your “shopping cart” and you may then “check out” at any time. If you wish to cancel the order process, you may do so by clicking “Log Out” at the top-right of the web page.

For shipping, we offer the US Postal Service - They are fast, efficient and worldwide. The system will calculate the appropriate charges. In general, we recommend that you utilize USPS Priority Mail.

In addition to the actual shipping charge, we add up to $1.95 to cover shipping materials such as labels, boxes, foam, and USPS delivery confirmation (domestic) or confirmation of mailing (overseas packages) – the system automatically adds this to your final shipping charge. Very large items (over 20 lbs) may require an additional fee to cover the extra shipping materials involved. We will let you know by e-mail if your item is one of these.

Insurance is recommended on all orders – All of our packages ship with USPS Delivery Confirmation to prove that the package was sent to the address you gave us, but this is not insurance. If you wish to insure your package, please add a note in the "Comments" part of your order, to advise of this and we will bill you for the additional amount.

We will happily ship outside the USA, however you are responsible to advise us of any customs and / or import regulations that may apply to your package. You agree not to hold us responsible for packages failing to reach their destination due to any such regulations or restrictions.

Your order will generally ship within 2 business days. If you paid by check or money order, we will hold your shipment for 7 business days until we are certain that your check has cleared our bank. If any doubt arises regarding the validity of your purchase method – whether credit card, Paypal, or otherwise, we reserve the right to hold your package until such time as that doubt is removed - we will notify you promptly by e-mail if such a problem occurs. You may check on the status of your order at anytime by logging onto our website and viewing the “My Account” information.

We keep very careful records of our shipped items. However, once the item has been deposited at the appropriate carrier’s offices, we cannot guarantee its arrival. In the remote instance when your package does not arrive, we will assist you in every way to pursue an investigation with the shipper, however we cannot be responsible for loss related to the shipper’s failure to perform as promised. This is one of the reasons we request that insurance be purchased on all items.

Returns & Refunds
We have a 100% satisfaction guarantee policy to which we adhere firmly. If the item you receive is anything less than as was portrayed on this website, please contact us by e-mail within three (3) calendar days of your reciept of the item. We will happily refund your money or replace the item with a similar or better item at your discretion. We will also reimburse your shipping charges in that instance. We may request a picture of the item, or that the item be returned to us (at our cost), before effecting a refund or replacement. Note that we will not refund or reimburse the item if it was modified by you (i.e. polished, slabbed, treated, etc.) after you received it. Note that we pack our items with great care and so will not take responsibility if the item was damaged during transit. If you are concerned about shipping damage, buy postal insurance.
